Welcome to my vegetable patch
Hey a warm welcome to my blog I hope you hang around to read some of my thoughts and posts on a whole range of stuff that interests me. I am nearly 40 and a big fan of vegetarianism. I stopped eating meat about ten years ago now and have never looked back. I became a vegetarian as I felt the healthy lifestyle would suit me and my love of running and playing sport.
I enjoy cooking which I think is very important if you are thinking of become a vegetarian and am always experimenting with different vegetables, nuts, pulses and fruits to invent new and interesting dishes. Don’t get me wrong they go wrong too but in the main I have a good palette and understanding of taste combinations and so often get it right.
I play five a side football once a week and eleven a side every Sunday and have done for years now. I am a striker but can play out wide too and as the pace is going now I am more of a Teddy Sherrington type of player now.
I am single and still loving that but loads of friends so I am never lonely, well almost never. Who knows I may settle down one day but she will have to have the patience of a saint to put up with me and my antics. My family are important to me and I have a great relationship with my parents, my mum is a legend and still cooks my Sunday lunch for me even though it means making me a nut roast just for me! Dad is a star and still goes to the football with me when he can well that’s if you can call Newcastle football any more.
A Geordie vegetarian is not something you often hear in the same sentence so hopefully I have got you interested enough to read on…
